This article discusses the progress of AI in terms of image recognition since Aleksander Madry, an MIT computer scientist, stated at an AI conference that almost every aspect of machine learning was broken. Fei-Fei Li, a leading authority on AI, machine learning, and deep learning computer vision, created ImageNet and the ImageNet challenge to expose an AI neural network to enormous image datasets. Li also created a how-to guide course at Stanford University that teaches how computer vision learns to understand images.
