6G is the next generation of wireless broadband technology that is expected to be commercially deployed in India around 2030. It promises data speeds of up to 100 Gbps, which is almost 100 times faster than 5G mobile broadband. 6G will also enable automated infrastructure optimisation and improved network connectivity. Typical 5G use cases such as smart cities, smart factories, smart farms and robotics are expected to be more efficient with 6G. India has already kicked off its 6G act with a Bharat 6G vision document.
