Ai Opportunities Exaggerated In The Short Term, But Underestimated In The Long Term, Says Globalfoundries

GlobalFoundries (GF) CEO Thomas Caulfield discussed the opportunities of AI at the company’s annual Technology Summit in Europe. He believes that AI will revolutionize not only the automotive sector, but also the entire tech industry. Caulfield proposed a three-level model for understanding the ongoing AI revolution: digitization, connectivity, and the cloud. He believes that AI will build on the infrastructure already created and that the vast amount of data harvested by sensors should be processed at the edge.
