Researchers from Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute have developed a framework called MoTok that enables computers to detect objects in motion more easily than stationary objects. The framework allows the computer to identify features of moving objects and reconstruct them, enabling the computer to find the same object again. The research could help computers and robots better automatically detect objects in videos, and could prove useful for autonomous driving, retail robotics, robotic manipulation, and robots in the home.
