The Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Vietnam has been recognised twice by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site. It is home to over 800 vertebrate species, including 154 mammals, 117 reptiles, 58 amphibians, 314 birds and 170 fish. The Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and Australia’s national science agency – CSIRO – recently organised a “Vietnam-Australia Innovation Partnership Day” in Hanoi to showcase the achievements of the two countries in innovation and technology.
