The University of Canterbury (UC) has partnered with Microsoft to stay at the forefront of technological innovation and improve the student experience, research capabilities and employability. This partnership will allow UC to maximize its investment in Microsoft products while exploring other avenues of progress. UC’s Digital Screen Bachelor (Hons) and Applied Immersive Game Design degree programs will benefit from early access to gaming innovations and products. The first joint initiative to be introduced under the partnership is the UC Chatbot, which uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI technology to extract answers based on complex questions.
