This narrative review discusses the use of sexual aid devices and smart sexual devices as a treatment for individuals with sexual dysfunction. A comprehensive search strategy was used to gather relevant information about the use of these devices, which included published journal articles and professional guidelines available in PubMed. The review found that vibrators are effective as sex aid devices for treating erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory dysfunction, and anorgasmia. The sextech industry is a highly profitable market, with an estimated value in the billions of dollars. The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown policies have resulted in an increased prevalence of technology-based sexual interactions.
