ePlant, a Californian tech firm, has developed a device called TreeTag, a solar-powered box affixed to the trunk of a tree with five sensors that capture information about the tree’s health. The data is uploaded to a cloud and accessible via the ePlant app, allowing users to monitor a tree’s vital signs in near real-time. ChatGPT, a chatbot developed by OpenAI, can be used to understand the data collected by the TreeTag and provide insights into the tree’s health.
