Syntiant Corp., a leader in edge AI deployment, has announced that its deep learning computer vision models can now be deployed on the integrated DRP-AI core on the Renesas RZ/V2L microprocessor. This allows developers to quickly and easily add intelligence to camera-based devices without an energy overhead. Syntiant’s hardware-agnostic models can be used for multiple vision-based applications such as object detection, face recognition, pose estimation, background subtraction and image classification. The Renesas RZ/V2L MPU is equipped with a Cortex-A55 CPU and DRP-AI accelerator, providing real-time AI inference and image processing for camera support.
