Israel is home to around 100 assistive technology startups that are creating ground-breaking inventions to help people with disabilities. Assistive technologies are much-needed, with the World Health Organisation predicting that over 2 billion people will need at least one assistive technology product by 2030. Despite this, access still lags behind demand, with only 1 in 10 people having access to the assistive technology they need. Our Crowd recently partnered with the WHO Foundation to launch a $200 million Global Health Equity Fund that will focus on breakthrough technology solutions to improve healthcare around the world, including disability technologies.
