Cancer Cells Classified By Type Using Deep Learning Model

Researchers from Texas Tech University have developed a deep learning model to classify cancer cells by type. The deep learning network analyzes images to accurately and efficiently categorize cell types, which has the potential to further classify the severity of a cancer. This label-free identification method does not require additional chemicals or biological solutions when taking pictures of the cells, and could be used to help administer the correct treatment for a specific patient.
