Cisco has acquired Swedish startup Modcam and is incorporating its computer vision technology into its Meraki smart camera portfolio. Modcam’s technology enables multiple cameras to provide a macro-level view of the real world, allowing for more complete views of space availability and what is happening on the factory floor. All of Modcam’s employees have joined Cisco and the Modcam technology will be folded into the Meraki product line.
