Amazon is facing a proposed class-action lawsuit that accuses the company of failing to inform customers at its Go cashierless stores that it was collecting their biometrics. The lawsuit claims that Amazon did not put up appropriate signage in its Go stores as required by law, and that the company was using customers’ biometrics such as facial scans and fingerprints to identify them and track their movements and purchases. The lawsuit was filed over a year after the law took effect in New York City.
