iOS 16 debuted with a number of new features, including the tap-and-lift photo feature which is part of Visual Look Up. This feature allows users to remove a photo’s background or lift an object out of a photo or PDF by simply tapping and holding. Robby Walker, Apple senior director of Siri Language and Technologies, demonstrated the new tool during WWDC, calling it “magic”.
