Amazon is facing a proposed class-action lawsuit that alleges the company failed to inform customers at its Go cashierless stores that it was collecting their biometrics, such as their facial scans and fingerprints. The lawsuit claims that Amazon uses customers’ biometrics to identify them and track their movements and purchases in the store, and that the company only put up signs about its biometric tracking activities over a year after the law went into effect.
