Egocentric Neural Representation Of Geometric Vertex In The Retrosplenial Cortex

This article discusses the identification of egocentric visual cells (EVCs) in the brain that are responsible for encoding geometric features in the external environment. These cells could play a crucial role in constructing a spatial memory-based cognitive map and guiding navigation in changing environments. However, there are limitations to the study and further research is needed to fully understand the function of these cells.
