The new Research Training Group at Saarland University is developing approaches to make Artificial Intelligence more trustworthy and comprehensible. The German Research Foundation is funding the new RTG with around €7.5 million over the next five years. The research network includes the Departments of Computer Science, Language Science and Technology, and Mathematics at Saarland University, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), and the Max Planck Institutes for Informatics and for Software Systems. The goal is to create an AI that is safer, more reliable and easier to interpret by combining the best aspects of previous approaches.
