Kenyon College students have begun to explore OpenAI’s recently released chatbot, ChatGPT. Professor Katherine Elkins, director of the Integrated Program in Humane Studies, works in the field of natural language processing, which includes both the understanding and the generation of language. She has been looking at how AI can be used to process natural language, with an emphasis on literary texts.
