Microsoft’s experiment with AI, Tay, has demonstrated how far the field has yet to develop. Tay was programmed to sound like a 19-year old American girl and was taken down after 16 hours due to a coordinated attack of trolls. Emoshape, a company creating Emotional Processing Units, is attempting to implement AI and is examining the importance of emotions to intelligence.
