Ai Model Helps Detect Alzheimer’s Disease With 90% Accuracy

Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) have developed a method to detect Alzheimer’s disease more quickly and efficiently using artificial intelligence and deep learning. They were able to identify risk of the disease with an accuracy of 90.2%, and addressed the difficulty of detecting early-onset cases by making the deep learning model ‘blind’ to features of the brain that it finds to be overly associated with the patient’s listed age.
