PICMG and DMTF have collaborated to extend the capabilities of the Redfish standard to automation and factory equipment, enabling remote management and control of advanced control endpoints. The result is the inclusion of PICMG IoT.1 and IoT.2 in the latest publication of Redfish, which accelerates the development and deployment of smart sensors in Industry 4.0 applications.
