Apple is reportedly developing a tabletop smart home device with a robotic arm, codenamed J595, that will serve as a command center, videoconferencing machine, and home security tool. The device will feature an iPad-like display and will be equipped with Apple Intelligence and Siri functionality. The project is being led by Kevin Lynch, Apple’s Vice President of technology, and is part of the company’s efforts to boost sales and capitalize on its AI technology.
