Outokumpu, a global leader in sustainable stainless steel, has implemented artificial intelligence and safety inspection robots to improve and digitize health and safety monitoring at its facilities. The company has signed a deal with Swiss robotics company ANYbotics and now has three robots operating at its sites, with the first robot starting operations at its ferrochrome plant in Tornio, Finland. The use of robotics supports Outokumpu’s goal of achieving the lowest accident frequency rate in the industry by 2025.
