A recent study by the State University Higher School of Economics analyzed the use of industrial robotics in Russian manufacturing industries. The study found that the top 10 regions with the highest number of robots used are all located in the Central, Volga, and Northwestern federal districts, with St. Petersburg being the leader. These regions also have a strong presence in the automobile manufacturing industry. The study also looked at the number of jobs replaced per industrial robot, with St. Petersburg, Leningrad, and Kaluga having the highest numbers.
