ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India has implemented various digitalisation strategies to transform processes and enhance efficiencies across functions from Finance, Sales & Marketing, Logistics and procurement to Human Resources, Mining, and Projects as well as in Safety. These initiatives include working capital management, treasury, taxation, business performance management, and project management. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and machine learning tools have been used to automate the process from receipt of invoices to payments. This has resulted in improved process efficiencies and productivity of the respective teams, with efficiency per FTE in handling payable invoices increasing to 174% and process turnaround time reduced to two days. Digitalising trade payments has also been successful.
