Amazon has launched a new robotic system called Sequoia in a Houston warehouse. The system consists of a variety of robots, including wheeled robots and robotic arms, that are used to fetch, pick, sort, and store items. Sequoia is said to reduce the time it takes to fulfill orders by 25%, and accelerate item identification and storage by 75%. Amazon plans to expand the system to many more of its warehouses in the coming years.
