IoT (Internet of Things) is a network of connected devices, such as Wi-Fi equipment, Bluetooth devices, computer peripherals and smart appliances, which collect and share data relating to their usage. IoT can be used by manufacturers to know their popular components and outlets, by stores to understand consumer behavior, and by healthcare professionals to monitor patients. It can also be used by town planners to alert them to commute delays or accidents, and by individuals to predict public transport, gauge harsh weather conditions, anticipate possible traffic and wake up early.
