Despite a 5.2% month-to-month decline in global semiconductor sales in January, companies are investing in manufacturing facilities, equipment, and personnel in anticipation of renewed growth. A new report by Global Industry Analysts projects the global semiconductor processing equipment market to reach $122.8 billion by 2030, and the discrete semiconductor market to grow to $41.9 billion by 2032. Additionally, AI/ML is being implemented on MCUs, and DARPA is seeking input on quantum/logic computers.
