Microsoft And Mitre Developed A Tool To Prepare Security Teams For Attacks On Ml Systems

Microsoft and MITRE have collaborated to create a new plug-in for cybersecurity professionals to bolster their defenses against attacks on machine learning systems. The Arsenal tool integrates various open-source software tools to emulate attacks on ML systems and was built off of Microsoft’s Counterfit. Charles Clancy, Ph.D., SVP, GM, MITRE Labs, and chief futurist, stated that this collaboration is a major win for the cybersecurity community as it provides insights into how adversarial machine learning attacks play out.
