In an interview on H3, Google employee, Blake Lemoine, claims that the LaMDA chatbot he was working on is likely sentient. Lemoine believes that the extended conversation he had with LaMDA, discussing its sentience, is evidence of this. However, the question of whether or not LaMDA is a really good chatbot or a sentient AI remains unanswered.
