OpenAI has released its AI chatbot, ChatGPT, which quickly gained a million users in under a week and 100 million within two months. It uses large language models and deep learning to predict text and arrange words in a logical order, though it can produce coherent text that is often described as “plausible bullshit”. There are concerns about biases in the system, which OpenAI has addressed, though subtler biases may still exist.
