A prototype computer program, Chesthetica, has generated a three chess construct composed autonomously using the Digital Synaptic Neural Substrate (DSNS) computational creativity approach. This approach does not use traditional AI, such as endgame tablebases, neural networks, or machine learning. Chesthetica is capable of generating a large number of compositions that are unique or new constructs.
