Conservation AI, a UK-based nonprofit, has used artificial intelligence (AI) to detect one of the world’s most critically endangered species, the pangolin, in real time. With the help of NVIDIA, the organisation has deployed over 70 AI-powered cameras across the world to protect the species from poachers and fires. Founded by researchers at Liverpool John Moores University, Conservation AI hopes to use AI to achieve their targets for protecting endangered species.
