Amazon has unveiled a new production robot called Sparrow which uses computer vision and AI to automate its logistics operations. The robot is able to detect, select and handle individual products in Amazon’s inventory. It is currently being tested in the field and can manipulate 65% of Amazon’s sortable inventory of more than 100 million products.
