Devin White Among First Graduates Of Utsa’s Artificial Intelligence Master’s Program

Devin White is a student at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) who was selected for a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program funded by the National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Defense. White joined the Unmanned Systems Lab under the guidance of Yoncan Cao, an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, and began working on a project to understand robotic systems and their collaboration with humans. White then applied to the MSAI program at UTSA and narrowed his research focus to human-guided reinforcement learning, a subset of machine learning that uses human feedback to train robots.
