Google has announced a new AI model, Imagen, at its annual I/O developer conference. Imagen is a text-to-image model that can generate and edit images as well as write captions for existing images. It is available through Google Cloud’s Vertex AI service, which is designed to be easy to use for developers of all levels. Imagen is accessible through the Model Garden, a selection of Google-developed models and curated open source models. Customers can enter prompts to generate images, and use editing tools and follow-up prompts to refine the images.
