Cary’s new downtown park is utilizing Internet of Things technology to improve park management and maintenance. Sensors are placed throughout the park to measure trash levels, soil moisture, bathroom usage, noise levels, and more. This data is then analyzed and used to inform when certain areas need attention. This use of IoT technology is a unique and innovative approach to park management.
