Nomad Digital is collaborating with various organisations to integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning into rail and public transport systems to improve operational efficiency and asset management. Video analytics are being used to monitor the health of assets in real time, anticipate issues, and reduce the need for ‘boots on ballast’. AI/ML technologies are also being used to estimate passenger numbers based on passive scanning of devices and calibrated via a second source.
