A new study has found that ChatGPT’s medical diagnoses are accurate less than half of the time. While previous research showed the chatbot could pass the USMLE, scientists caution against relying on it for complex medical cases. The limitations of AI tools should be made clear to the general population and they should not replace doctors yet.
