A new generation of skin patches, developed through EU-funded research project SINTEC, can monitor vital signs like blood pressure and heart rate during everyday activities such as cycling, showering, and making love. The project aimed to improve the comfort and usability of smart wearables, which are part of the Internet of Things. The device includes a reusable soft sensor and a non-reusable adhesive patch.
