This study used advanced search, data extraction, and artificial intelligence-powered algorithms to analyze digital conversations about myasthenia gravis (MG), a rare autoimmune disease. The study found that topics of conversation included diagnosis, living with MG, symptoms, and treatment, with negative sentiments dominating the conversations. The key drivers of negativity were the impact on life and treatment issues, with side effects, lack of efficacy, misdiagnosis, and cost/insurance being the main barriers to treatment.
