Experts have highlighted the advances in medical technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and deep tech, which have revolutionised the diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) in India. This year, World Tuberculosis Day is observed on March 24th, with the theme of “Yes! We can end TB!” TB affects more than 10 million people each year, with India contributing to over 30% of the global TB burden. Early diagnosis of TB is key to curbing the spread of the disease, and given the current infrastructure in India, the use of AI-based technologies can help accelerate the diagnosis process.
