Researchers from Pusan National University in South Korea have developed a backscatter technique that could be crucial for the widespread adoption of IoT services. The technique involves the use of multiple antennas and accurate modelling of I/Q load modulators, resulting in a more energy efficient system. Backscattering allows devices to communicate directly with each other, making it possible to deploy devices without batteries.
