Newly Developed Soil Sensor Helps Reduce Use Of Chemical Fertilisers

Researchers at Tyndall National Institute at University Cork have developed a soil sensor that utilizes IoT and cloud technology to monitor soil nutrient levels in real time, providing farmers with immediate feedback and helping them optimize fertiliser use and reduce environmental impacts. The technology aligns with EU’s Green Deal objectives and Farm-to-Fork strategy.
