Chinese Ambassador Fang Qiu and Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister Dr Amery Browne have announced that the Phoenix Park Industrial Estate (PPIE) is now fully operational and ready to welcome more investors. The estate is powered by cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, big data and internet of things (IoT). 14 investments have already been finalised, with the first tenant, China Summit Luggage, beginning production this month. PPIE is expected to be a major boost for Trinidad and Tobago, aiding in the diversification of the economy and providing a logistics and distribution hub for the region.
