NTT, a Japanese technology service corporation, is using enhanced technology for the iconic Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes this year. NTT is using IoT, edge connectivity, and edge computing to set up a digital twin of the race, which connects layers of live information to replicate all aspects of the event digitally. This year’s race also sees the integration of ChatGPT within NTT’s AI-driven digital human solution. NTT has been the official technology provider of the Tour de France for the past nine years, working closely with Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) to use data and insights to transform the race.
