The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digitization for businesses, leading to the need for a digital imperative to strengthen the supply chain and logistics infrastructure. This is being done by bridging the gap between digital offerings and physical space (phygitalization) and by embracing new-age technology platforms such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, RFIDs, Edge, etc. The concept of ‘glocal’ (characterised by both local and global considerations) has also tightened its grip globally, requiring an agile supply change management as consumers have moved online and operate digitally.
