UK King Charles visited Bangladesh to discuss a strong, close partnership between the two countries. State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak announced the implementation of a ‘Smart Agriculture Pilot Project’ at 10 villages in the country. The project is aimed at reducing the cost of irrigation and use of fertilizer, as well as boosting production. Technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, drones, and machine learning robotics will be used to increase production and encourage the educated youth to get involved in agriculture.
