Scientists Develop Cheaper, Low-field Whole-body Mri

Hong Kong researchers have developed a breakthrough whole-body, ultra low-field MRI system that uses a 0.05 T magnet, making it safe for patients with implanted devices and bystanders. The technology could be commercially available in a few years pending funding and FDA approval.
