Researchers Use Table Tennis To Understand Human-robot Dynamics In Agile Environment

Researchers from Georgia Tech have developed a collaborative robot called ‘cobot’ which is equipped with a camera and paddle and can be trained to play table tennis. The robot is an example of how robots can work closely with humans to complete tasks, increasing productivity and safety. The team developed a system of positive and negative reinforcement to train the robot through imitation learning.
